We are currently looking for a highly analytical and forward-thinking Senior Finance Analyst to join our Amazon Turkey Retail Finance team based in Istanbul.The Senior Finance Analyst will contribute to all controllership functions including financial reporting, planning, control and analysis business partnering with our Turkish customers.In this role, you will partner with your business and the commercial and other cross-functional teams (retail and 3rd party category management, fulfilment and transportation, marketing, accounting, tax and all other support teams) to deliver growth and financial commitments. Through insightful and data-driven analysis, you will lead growth and profitability improvement initiatives and work with the cross-functional teams to understand and boost the key drivers of the business. The role is broad based and will require a strong, independent performer who is motivated to make a big impact in a highly ambiguous environment.Key job responsibilities
- Controllership of the business unit
- Expertise collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to lead business improvement and cost reductions
- Root cause analysis and uncovering core issues using data, then assisting to develop the improvement plans and create new measures
- Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability
- Manage the development of all weekly and monthly financial controllership incorporating all planning, forecasting, and reporting models and their continuous innovation while communicating actively with your business partners
- Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timely
- Proven ability to deliver results through a highly matrix team with competing priorities & providing level-headed guidance during unexpected eventsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Relevant finance experience
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
- Masters/Bachelor's degree in business, finance, math or related field
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving
- Experience working with accounting, tax and financial operations (A/P, A/R, VAT, Payroll, etc...)
- Advanced Excel user, VBA (even better)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
