You’ll use your collaborative approach to audit our existing Canva.dev and internal engineering handbook experiences, identifying existing pain points, gaps, and opportunities. You’ll ship optimisations that make a real difference.
You’ll work closely with our Technical Writers and Content Strategy team to define, evolve and maintain the site’s information architecture, ensuring our users have a seamless experience across all touch points.
You’ll play a vital role in steering the ship towards success by owning the design strategy and shaping the future for Canva.dev, along with other developer resources.
You’ll be instrumental in ensuring that our design systems are scalable and can be used across a range of developer experiences.
You’ll collaborate with some of the most talented brand designers in the industry to create Canva’s truly unique and exciting branding experience for our developers!

You’re probably a match if you have

Strong experience in end-to-end digital delivery design. You have a proven ability to design engaging and intuitive user interfaces for large-scale websites with complex content structures.
Effective communication skills. You are adept at liaising with stakeholders to gather requirements and articulate design solutions.
Strong visual communication skills. You shine through your designs, effectively conveying complex information in a digestible format, ensuring a compelling and informative user experience.
Experience defining content strategy in UX. You can collaborate with others to define the content information architecture of canva.dev, and content taxonomy within the site user experience to serve information to users in the right time, place, and format
Experience conducting user research and usability testing. Your methodical approach to gathering user insights informs your design decisions, ensuring a user-centric design outcome.
You excel in UI Design. Your expertise in creating visually appealing UI designs that align with brand guidelines, and design systems and enhance user engagement.

About the TeamAt Canva, we aim to empower developers to create valuable apps and integrations for our platform, unlocking their creativity to meet untapped user needs beyond our core editing experience. Our strategic goal is to build a thriving developer community, working together to tailor Canva for 1 billion delighted users.As the Digital Designer in the Technical Writing team, you’ll be the mastermind behind the whole design experience of canva.dev. You’ll also work with Technical Writers and Engineers to create an easy-to-use developer handbook that’s a dream to navigate. This will enable them to discover guidelines and thought leadership, and ultimately build with our powerful API tools.But wait, there’s more!
