
EU-Technical Sales Manager

- Provides sales team with technical support on specific product lines or projects, working closely with product management team.
- Develops direct and close relationships with customers’ technical team as to promote and to develop product portfolio
- Develops and supports new product launches working together with suppliers’ technical team and influencing positively the relationship between Univar and suppliers.
- Attends supplier trainings and seminars to improve and update personal product comprehension and application experience.
- Deliver high quality training to sales team to improve product and application knowledge, attend, and prepare customers’ technical web seminars contributing to a sustainable product development.
- Collaborates effectively with many different companion groups that have involvement in the ongoing work including EMEA technical support and Application Lab. Team etc.
- Demonstrates a keen understanding of Univar’s business operations and organizational levers that drive profitable growth. Uses appropriate interpersonal style and communication methods to gain influence and build rapport.
- Demonstrates eagerness and ability to learn quickly and leverages a flexible mind-set in response to shifting dynamics, adversity and/or change. - Food Science and Technology
- Knowledge of the practical application of food science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
- Max. 3 years of proven experience in same positions or application lab in the following areas: bakery, filling, dressing and sauces categories
- English Language - Fluent
- Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Computer skills - Experience/knowledge of Microsoft packages, including: Word, Excel, Outlook
- Technical/Science educational background (Food Engineering)
- Experience in a commercial environment providing good customer service
- Experience in International context would be a plus
