- Lead new projects, R&D endeavors, and Proofs of Concept;
- Design & develop advanced stand-alone applications and libraries as well as apps that connect to/use existing products;
- Discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies ;
- Create, evaluate, maintain, and optimize internal coding standards & best practices
- Continuously evaluate and improve internal processes
- Mentor new team members, co-op students, interns, and peers alike;
- 7+ yrs. experience developing mobile applications for Android platforms;
- Strong knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and the Android platform;
- Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities;
- Strong architecture and design modeling;
- Solid understanding of object-oriented concepts;
- Expertise in mobile application development tools and techniques;
- Ability to work in a very talented team locally and across the border as well as individually where needed;
- Strong sense of craftsman pride to get things done & done right;
- Experience with Socket and/or Bluetooth programming is a plus;
- Experience with OpenGL is a plus;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
