  • Formulate and prepare additives samples,
  • Run cost analysis,
  • Prepare cement for testing,
  • Execute chemical tests on additives,
  • Execute performance tests on paste, mortar or concrete,
  • Report and document results as per corporate procedures.
  • Run alternative raw materials search and tests,
  • Take part in scale up production of cement additives,
  • Take part in plant trials of cement additives,
  • Follow relevant standards, corporate guidelines and update internal test methods accordingly if necessary,
  • Develop new test methods,
  • Cooperate with other departments; QC, production, planning, procurement, technical department, sales
  • Cooperate with external stakeholders; Suppliers, cement producer
  • Run literature work and patent search,
  • Run calibration, verification and maintenance of lab equipment.
Qualifications * A degree qualification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineer, Material Science (or equivalent) or secondary degree school in technical disciplines.
  • Good command of English.
  • Experience in cement testing (such as mortars, concrete, etc.)
  • Knowledge of relevant normatives and attitude to formulations development.
  • Project management experience according to priorities.
  • Ability to communicate in heterogeneous working groups (sales, R&D chemists, technical service, sales etc.).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Computer skills and database management; MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, SAP.
  • As this is both desk job and requires physical engagement candidates must be willing to take both challenges.
