Senior Trader / Originator - Energy

Execute power trading activities, including buying and selling electricity, Gas and other commodities in various markets.
Monitor market conditions, analyze price trends, and identify profitable trading opportunities.
Develop and implement effective trading strategies to optimize profitability and manage risks.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather market intelligence and align trading activities with business objectives.
Utilize trading systems and tools to execute trades and manage positions.
Monitor and manage trading risks, including market, credit, and operational risks.
Stay updated on industry trends, market regulations, and policy changes that may impact power trading activities.
Build and maintain relationships with external counterparts and stakeholders to facilitate trading activities.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on market analysis and trading performance.
Execute the purchasing of contracts for over-the-counter electricity markets as part of the trading team.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in power trading or a similar role within the energy industry.
Strong knowledge of power markets, trading strategies, and risk management techniques.
Proven track record of successfully executing power trades and delivering profitable results with multiple external stakeholders
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze market data and trends.
Familiarity with trading systems and tools used in the energy industry.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the power trading industry.
Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and work on rotating shifts, if required.
Knowledge of R, Python or SQL is a good plus
Good command of English is essential both for internal and external stakeholder engagement.
