The General Manager (GM) of the Food Factory is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations,
ensuring the efficient production of high-quality food products,
enforcing food safety and quality standards,
managing budgets,
leading the operations and management teams,
and achieving the factory’s strategic goals.1. Operational Leadership Lead and manage all factory operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, logistics, and warehousing. Ensure production targets are met within quality, safety, and cost standards. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
2. Team Management Approving and overseeing the hiring and training of department managers and staff. Foster a positive and performance-oriented work culture. Conduct performance evaluations and implement staff development programs.
3. Food Safety & Quality Assurance Ensure compliance with local and international food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO, GMP). Oversee quality control processes and audits. Address and resolve non-compliance or customer complaints.
4. Strategic Planning & Reporting Develop and implement short- and long-term operational strategies. Report performance results to the executive team and stakeholders. Drive factory expansion or modernization projects if required.
5. Health, Safety & Environment Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with occupational safety standards. Promote a culture of safety awareness and environmental responsibility.Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- At least 8-10 years of experience in food production, with at least 5 years of senior management experience.
- Strong knowledge of food processing operations, quality systems, and safety standards.
- Proven leadership and organizational skills.- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent English (or Arabic) (reading, writing, and speaking).- Residency in Mersin or potential residents.Key Competencies:
