
Production Manager - Performance Polymer Compounds

- Lead and manage daily operations of multiple serial production lines for rubber based manufacturing.
- Ensure all departmental work is conducted in a customer-focused manner, maintaining strong relationships with global automotive OEM clients.
- Identify non-conformities in compounds through quality control results, implement corrective actions, and prevent reoccurrence.
- Evaluate and resolve customer complaints, providing documented evidence and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain the integrity and effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance in all process changes and applications.
- Hold process ownership authority, including approval for production stoppages/pauses, staff leave approvals, and engagement of external maintenance/repair support.
- Drive operational excellence through cost optimization, resource allocation, and process efficiency improvements.
- Foster team development, coaching, and performance management across a workforce of engineers and production staff.
- Collaborate closely with the Plant Manager and other departments to meet strategic business objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (preferred) or Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering with directly relevant production leadership experience.
- Minimum 7-9 years of production management experience in rubber compounding, tire manufacturing, or rubber-related material industries.
- Proven track record in managing large teams (25+ employees) within a high-volume, quality-critical manufacturing environment.
- Solid expertise in Polymer Chemistry and Rubber Technology, with hands-on knowledge of chemical test methods.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office programs.
- Knowledge of ISO based requirements and demonstrated ability to ensure compliance within a Quality Management System.
- Strong expertise in production planning, quality control, and continuous improvement practices (Lean, Six Sigma preferred).
- Understanding of customer requirements in the automotive, engineering meterials and tire manufacturing sector and ability to respond to OEM demands effectively.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with authority to manage production-critical processes.
- At least B1 level in English
