Brown-Forman Türkiye also has a very strong and premium portfolio including Jack Daniel’s family of brands, Woodford Reserve, GlenDronach, Benriach, Glenglassaugh, Chambord, Herradura, El Jimador and Fords Gin.Meaningful Work From Day OneServing as a business partner with the Region Accounting Team and the Turkish business unit, this individual is responsible for accurate and timely financial accounting and reporting, with a focus on communicating quantitative and qualitative information in a clear, accurate, and timely manner.This position is a critical player in the organization, being responsible for the assigned tasks for internal reporting as well as external reporting, internal controls, business partnering, and any ad hoc projects to support the business growth.What You Can ExpectFinancial Records / Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring timely execution & accuracy of all financial records, including financial statements and general ledger data working closely with the Accounting Manager.
Addressing tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including month-end closing, financial reporting, and year-end audit preparation.
Posting and monitoring the daily accounting and finance transactions per both Turkish and US GAAP.
Perform monthly cash position/flow and bank operations.
Responsible for month-end close in the Material Ledger system (COGS).
Booking VAT month-end related transactions and work with external accounting firm to make sure they are filed on time.
Ensures that all necessary accruals and prepayments are booked accurately.
Fixed Asset Accounting.
Customers Rebates Processing.
Lease accounting per US GAAP using Visual Lease software.
Corporate Income Tax calculation, submission of the quarterly tax package, recon, and filing.
Excise Tax calculation, recon, and filing.
Concur expense clearing and VAT receivables.

Analytics and Process Improvement:

Responds to inquiries from the Country Accounting Manager, Finance Director, Regional Controller, regarding financial results, balance sheet fluctuation, reconciliation items and any special reporting requests.
Proactively look for opportunities to improve and streamline existing accounting processes to improve the quality of the financial data and reduce the time spent on recurring tasks.
Partner with IT in prioritizing projects and resources that helps with digitalising our current processes.

Business Partnering:

Partner closely with Global Business Solution (GBS) team on matters related to AR, Credit, Bad Debt provision, AP and Payroll.
Partner closely with the different business units on queries related to accounting matters.
Assisting in ad hoc projects that support the business growth.

Control & Compliance:

Partner with the Accounting Manager and Finance Director to ensure the effectiveness of our local internal controls by monitoring business practices in compliance with global policies and SOX controls.

What You Bring to the Table

Post qualified experience in accounting.
Excellent skills in Excel and SAP.
Strong knowledge of accounting and tax.
Ability to work under constant deadlines and multi task.
Fluency in both written and spoken English.

What Makes You Unique

CPA Accounting qualification.
Big 4 experience is preferred.
Experience in the FMCG or liquor industry.
USGAAP and IFRS knowledge.
